Thank you for all of your efforts in advocating for the Onewheel. I’ve been contemplating buying a Onewheel for quite some time, and I’m still not certain that there is one in my future. I’m keeping an eye out on the Future Motion website for a possible XR v.2 or the Next Gen. Onewheel, but for now I’m holding off.

I’ve been riding skateboards since my teenage years, so I picked up a Boosted Board Mini X. The device is a quality piece of hardware and it was definitely fun at first, but it wasn’t the experience that I thought it would be. To me there was a disconnect between what was happening with the board and what I wanted it to do because of the need for the remote. I had my sights set on a Onewheel initially, but I was a bit concerned about nosediving and the limited range was not ideal either. I almost pulled the trigger when the Pint was announced, but the limited range is keeping me from picking one up.

I’m interested to hear your feedback regarding your first EUC. While contemplating the possible Onewheel purchase about a year and a half ago, I picked up an InMotion V8 from Jason at eWheels on a total impulse buy. It took approximately 45 minutes before I was able to roll a few feet and dismount with control, but I was zooming around confidently by the end of the day. EUC’s are truly amazing devices, and the the riding experience is like nothing else. The biggest difference for me when compared to riding my Boosted Board, is that I am hyper aware that I am riding on top of the Boosted Board, whereas the EUC feels like an extension of your body. There will be a point where “it clicks” and riding your EUC will feel natural and second nature.

With spring around the corner, I’m itching to add another vehicle to my collection and it will ether be my second EUC (InMotion V10f, Ninebot Z10, KingSong 18XL) or the Onewheel XR. I’m interested in hearing your thoughts if you decide to pickup an EUC.

Jason at eWheels is a great resource and seller, and you may have already discovered the EUC Forum: https://forum.electricunicycle.org

Cheers.
Lionel

I started to ride the Onewheel a couple months ago and love it so far. I learnt by watching your videos and the ones of slydog strohs.

I have been riding the KS16S for 2 years now and all I can say is that it is the best overall EUC. I also own the KS14 C and D, KS16B, KS18S, Ninebot Z10 and Inmotion V10.

The KS16S is quite fast but less than the KS18S (crazy fast). Compared to all the other EUCs i mentioned it has great acceleration and is very maneuverable (the best in that department being the 14D). I found the KS14C (now discontinued) being the closest in feel to a onewheel.

I’m sure you won’t have any difficulty to ride it. The only difficult part for me was to hop up on the pedals as you need to find your balance and move forward. The rest is very intuitive.

Have fun and cheers from France.
