When traveling, walking can be a hassle, and personal electric vehicles like my Onewheel have made it my preferred mode of transport. Exploring cities with these devices is unmatched. However, flying with them, especially the Onewheel XR due to its battery size, is often impractical. Even smaller models like the Plus and Pint can face airline restrictions.
While I’ve had no trouble flying with my Onewheel, the process is always stressful. This is why I choose alternatives. The XR’s superior range makes it my preferred option, and for traveling within the continental U.S., I recommend two choices: SUPrents.com or shipping your Onewheel.
SUPrents.com offers a convenient rental service. Ordering is quick, and the board arrives on time. The return process is equally simple, with UPS stores widespread in Southern California, where I often ride.
One great aspect of SUPrents.com is their “try before you buy” program, which allows you to test the board before committing to a purchase. It’s an excellent way to explore new areas. My recent vacation in Southern California was a testament to the wonders of these personal electric vehicles, which uncover hidden gems just miles away from familiar spots.
If you have alternative ways to travel with your Onewheel, please share in the comments. I also shipped my Onewheel XR on this trip, so if you’re interested in that process, let me know. Don’t forget to use the code “Jimmychang” for a small rental discount.
