The Onewheel was my introduction to personal electric mobility devices, having fallen in love with my Onewheel and an electric unicycle. Electric skateboards initially didn’t appeal to me due to hand controls and my lack of skateboard experience. However, the Exway X1 Pro changed my perspective.
Famous YouTuber Casey Neistat had popularized Boosted Boards, making them synonymous with electric skateboards. Although I considered getting a Boosted Board, Exway contacted me to review their board without any commitment for a positive review.
The Exway X1 Pro introduced me to the thrill of electric skateboards. It offers speed and a new perspective for those accustomed to Onewheels. With impressive acceleration, speed (up to 29 mph), and hill-climbing capabilities, it’s a thrilling ride. Its up to 16 miles range and the ability to ride even with a dead battery are practical advantages.
The Exway X1 Pro’s sleek design and the potential to convert it to belt-driven motors through the “Riot Kit” make it appealing. It’s not without limitations, including an overestimated range of 9 to 10 miles, a stiff board, and a 2-hour 45-minute charge time (70 minutes with the optional fast charger).
This board shines in acceleration, speed, and hill climbing, and its design is impressive. The potential to upgrade to belt-driven motors adds versatility. I’d recommend it to friends and family, especially for those with a penchant for speed and distance. For more details, check out the specs and current pricing for the Exway X1 Pro.
